What formats are supported?
You can convert between JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, and TIFF.
Does converting to JPG lose transparency?
Yes, JPG doesn't support transparency, so any transparent areas are filled with white.
Is image quality preserved?
Lossless formats like PNG keep full quality. Converting to JPG or WEBP uses a high quality setting to minimize visible loss.
What if my image is already in the format I picked?
We'll let you know it's already that format and ask if you'd like to convert it anyway. If you don't need that, nothing is uploaded to our servers.
Is there a file size limit?
Large images upload in the background with a progress bar. If a file is over about 25MB, we'll ask for your email address first and send you a secure download link once it's converted.
Why does Drefly need my email for large files?
Only to send you the one download link for this conversion. We don't add you to a mailing list, send marketing emails, or share your address with anyone.
I haven't received the email yet - what should I do?
Large files convert in the background and can take a few minutes. Check your spam or junk folder, since first-time senders sometimes land there. If it's been more than 15-20 minutes, try again with a smaller file.
Is email delivery free, and is my file safe?
Yes - every Drefly tool, including email delivery for large files, is completely free with no signup required. Your converted file is stored only long enough to be downloaded and is automatically deleted after 24 hours either way; you can also delete it early from the download page.
Is the image converter free?
Yes, converting an image between formats is completely free with no signup and no watermark.
